A SSF3492 / SS3492 rated security cabinet on the other hand, is much heavier built than your regular anti-theft cabinet. These models are also testet to withstand various amounts of force.
In Sweden insurance companies therefore approve of insured storage of values up to 40.000 SEK in SS3492 rated cabinets, sometimes more if they are bolted in a room with alarm.
SS3492 and insurance
Although most Swedish insurance companies do approve of insured storage of values up to 40.000 SEK in SSF3492 rated cabinets this is not 100% sure. Thus it is always important to check what applies to your personal circumstances and insurance company. This is of course especially important in other countries since the regulations might differ in both directions. Other countries insurance companies might in fact be less conservative, although the opposite might be true for some.
Key lock vs code lock
The product includes a readjustable high-security key lock, with 2 security keys.
If you are not keen on carrying around the often bulgy security keys (as required) we think you are very smart to consider the additional cost of a high security code lock.
The absolute worst decision you can make is however to hide the keys. Thieves are usually good at searching.In fact the mere sight of a key lock might invoke a quite aggressive search for keys with property damage as a consequence. With a code lock you will avoid both scenarios!

The damage from such an assault on your property might quickly exceed the cost of a code lock.
