The lock is powered by a standard 9V alkaline battery (we recommend Duracell for optimal performance), which is easily replaced from the outside if it runs out. Your codes are securely stored in the lock's memory and are not lost during a power outage or battery change. Under normal use, a battery lasts for approximately 1-2 years.
