SSD3492 rated security cabinet

The RSK series of safes are all certified as SSF3492 (SS3492) security cabinet and thus, by Swedish insurance companies, for storage of values up to 40,000 SEK. This particular cabinet is just under half a meter in height and width and depth. This makes it ideal for homes, smaller offices, kiosks and the like, for storage of cash, e.g. daily takings, cigarette cartons, laptops, keys, and other valuables in smaller size. Great choice!

Prepared for easy installation

Thanks to four pre-drilled anchoring holes in its bottom it is very easy to bolt the safe down to a floor. This is a key ingredient in its anti-theft abilities since it is otherwise very mobile. Good for you, and the thieves!

Fittings & Locking

The cabinet has 1 removable shelf as standard fitting. In its standard version the cabinet is equipped with a readjustable high security key lock (2 security keys incl.). There is however also the possibility to buy a high security code lock for the safe.

Code locks are great for many reasons. They drastically simplify the use of the cabinet, especially when several persons are supposed to have access to the cabinet.
Another reason is that one single forgotten, lost, or hidden key (found by an unauthorised), will give easy and swift access to the safe until you have gotten hold of a readjustment kit and new keys, which is rather costly.
Lastly, since security keys are rather bulgy and can't be copied it is often the case that people feel the need to hide keys in the vicinity of the safe. This is a very bad idea. Thieves are well aware of this practice, and will most likely and aggressively search for a key if they see a safe with a key lock, that can end in damage and worst case scenario access to the safe. With a code lock there is of course no need for either searching or hiding of keys!

SSF3492, burglary protection & insurance

SSF3492 rated cabinets are tested and approved by Swedish SP to withstand a substantial amount of force over a certain amount of time. This ensures a good burglary protection. In fact, Swedish insurance companies often approve of insured storage of values up to 40.000 SEK in SSF3492-rated cabinets if they are bolted down.

However, insurance policies will differ between regions and countries. We therefore advise you to check what applies to your particular circumstances.
It is possible to find out that you are allowed to store even more then 40,000 SEK in the safe with some policies, depending on local circumstances.
