The GPS trackers are an additional "layer" of protection for your goods, vehicles or other valuable or personal items.
Alarm if your GPS leaves a certain area
With a GPS trackers software you can easily set up a specific watch area that your GPS tracker must not leave. If your tracker nonetheless do leave the area, you are immediately alerted via SMS through GPS tracker app, or your computer so that you will be made aware of the anomaly.
Track your valuables / GPS tracker
You can always track your GPS tracker to see where it is and has been, how fast it has traveled and so on. With help of this function you can thus easily observe how far away your product is, if the product has been stolen, or where potential vehicles are, e.g. if your daughter or son has borrowed your car or boat, a scooter, snowmobile and such. Great for extra security in light of accidents as well form that point of view!
GSM, GPRS, GPS
In order for you to be able to track your tracker or monitor it within a certain surveillance area, it must have coverage via GPRS, GSM or GPS. Should it lose coverage for a while then it will be re-energized as soon as the coverage is back. With the software you can also easily set how often the tracker should update its status.
Tip! With fewer updates the battery will last longer.
Telia telematics subscription for your tracker
Once you have received your purchased or ordered GPS tracker model, you must sign and submit an agreement for a Telia telematics subscription this so that you can continue to use and track your tracker. The subscription is for one year and costs about SEK 400 per year. The additional cost is per sms that your tracker has sent to your mobile e.g. if you have set an area alert or if it is moved from its location. If you haven't set the area guard, and your tracker is placed on your product all the time, it will not send you any sms either.
GPS - Tracker model 3: Battery life & charging
This model has 2-4 hours of internal battery standby time, but can be connected to an existing external power source of 9-70 volts. Thus should the GPS be moved from its alternative power source it will start to use its own internal power source to track and report its movements. This model should however always be connected to an external 9-70 voltage power source, either always active and connectet to a fixed power source, or as semi active, where it starts up as soon as e.g. an engine is started.
