Equipped with a practical electronic code lock
One of the best things about this model is that it's already from start equipped with a security rated electronic keypad code lock which is usually an add-on option for additional costs in many other security cabinet models. The cabinet of course comes with a detailed instruction about how to set up your own code, and change the battery in the electronic code lock as well.
Why a battery powered code lock?
There are many advantages with electronic code locks. To give some examples, you don't need to carry any keys around, there is no risk of loosing keys, and you never get tempted to hide keys, which comes with great risk.
If several persons are suppose to have access to the cabinet, a keypad code lock can drastically simplify the use of the cabinet since codes, in contrast to keys, will always be in the right place at the right time (i.e. in the head of those with access). Only those with a code have access to the cabinet's content, while a key might easily end up in the hands of some unauthorised. If someone quits, it is very easy to just change that persons code to something else.
Prepared for bolt-down to floor or fastening to wall
The cabinet is prepared for fastening through pre-drilled holes in the back and floor of the safe, which makes it a easy to fasten the safe to a wall, floor, or a pillar.
Increased security
Since you do not need to carry the keys with you, or worse will decide to hide them the security is much better with an keypad code lock. Security keys are often quite bulgy and uncomfortable to carry around. On top of this, it is also quite unpractical when many are using the cabinet but only a few have a key, since the keys might often be somewhere else when needed by those without keys. This issue often results in ill-fated hiding of keys somewhere in the vicinity of the cabinet. Many burglars are unfortunately well aware of this practice, which of course means that there is a very high risk they will find your "hidden" keys.
Increase the security
Increase safety by changing code/digits 3-5 times a year. Since all code lock keys are prone to get worn over time, it is a good idea to change the code every once in a while (or rather digits used) since unequal wear might give away which digits are used in the code.
The cabinet can however be ordered with key lock with two provided high security keys for those who are still into the manual key locks.
