What does manual key management actually cost you?
⏱️
"The Five-Minute Rule"
In a business with 20 employees, time is often lost when keys need to be signed out, searched for, or handed over during shift changes.
- Savings: Approx. 360 working hours per year.
- ROI: The investment is often paid back in approx. 15 months just by reducing wasted time.
Administrative Relief
Manually managing permissions, receipt books, and chasing lost keys takes focus away from the core business.
- Savings: Over 100 hours per year for the administrator/manager.
- ROI: Combined with the staff's time savings, the system is often paid for in under a year.
️
The Security Insurance
What would it cost if a master key is lost and you have to replace all lock cylinders in an entire building?
- Savings: Avoid costs of SEK 50,000 – SEK 150,000 per incident.
- ROI: The system can pay for itself in a single instance where a key is recovered thanks to its traceability.
Did you know?
An investment of approx. SEK 212,500 corresponds to the cost of about 470 working hours. In a medium-sized business, that time is consumed by inefficient key management in just a few months.
Stand-alone version
This particular key cabinet is a stand-alone version that works without a network connection.
You operate and administer the cabinet entirely via the touchscreen on the cabinet
Also available as a cloud-based version
The cabinet is also available in a more advanced, cloud-based version that also has more features such as an event log, web-based administration panel, different access levels for different keys, etc. Contact us for a price proposal and quote.
How the stand-alone version works
- The administrator, usually the manager, first adds users to the cabinet via the touchscreen and links them to an RFID tag, either an existing one or one that comes with the cabinet.
- When the user scans their RFID tag and enters the code for the code lock, the cabinet opens immediately and they can pick the key or keys they need at the moment.
- Each key has a unique slot in the key cabinet, and if it is replaced incorrectly, an LED will flash
- If a key is missing from the cabinet, you can log in with your RFID tag and get an overview of who has which key.
A maximum of 10 codes are available for the code lock. Normally, 1 master code is used and one code for the user to log into the lock. The lock does not receive power unless the tag is scanned first, so the unlocking is at the user level
