The 9002B key cabinet is the ideal solution for hotels, campgrounds, and car rental companies that need a secure system for handing out keys, key cards, and welcome letters outside of staffed hours. This key drop box cabinet simplifies the check-in process for guests and provides security and efficiency for your staff.
Robust and Weather-Resistant Construction
The cabinet is made of heavy-duty, powder-coated sheet steel, designed to withstand Nordic climates and light outdoor use, for instance, under a protective roof. A built-in transformer emits a small amount of heat that effectively prevents condensation inside the cabinet, protecting both keys and electronics.
Flexible Capacity and Expandability
This model features two separate compartments with a total of 16 key hooks (8 per compartment). Need more capacity? The system is expandable and can easily be extended with more compartments to meet growing demands.
Advanced Locking with Code Locks
Each compartment is equipped with a programmable electronic code lock, with a unique user code for each door. The codes are permanently stored and will not be lost during a power outage. For emergencies, a service hatch can be opened with a cylinder lock (two keys included).
Power Connection and Installation
The cabinet easily connects to 230V via an appliance socket (C14). For a permanent and more secure installation, especially outdoors, the cabinet can be ordered with an internal terminal block. This prevents unauthorized disconnection of the power. Please note that installation with a terminal block requires a qualified electrician.
Smart Accessories and Expansion
- Battery Backup: Secure operation for up to one hour during a power outage.
- Expansion Cabinets (E-series): Connect up to 15 additional cabinets to a main cabinet for maximum capacity.
Tip for businesses: For operations with high guest turnover, we recommend the System version (S) of the 9000 series. It offers advanced features like time-controlled codes, event logging, and administration via computer – perfect for hotels and car rentals.
