Its EN1143-1 Grade 0 burglary rating entails that is is approved, by Swedish insurance companies, for insured storage of values reaching 50,000 SEK.
It also offers a 120 minutes fore protection for paper, which is more than enough for most needs in terms of document storage.
Thanks to this safe's great burglary protection and rating, Swedish insurance companies normally approve of insured storage of values reaching up to 50,000 SEK in all EN1143-1 Grade 0 rated safes.
Since insurance policies will differ between countries and regions within countries we advice you to check what applies to your particular circumstances with your insurance company. They might even be more liberal than stated above.
Lock system and security
The lock system is regulated by a readjustable key lock (or at an additional cost, an optional battery powered keypad code lock).
The lock bolts are protected against attempts att drilling with manganese drills. Should you choose the code lock the cabinet can also put itself into a temporary lock-down state should it detect several attempts at opening the safe with erroneous codes.
All the lock bolts are entirely made of solid steel.
The rear edge of the door is secured by an enclosing notch which provides a truly effective break-in resistance.
The model is also prepared for bolt-down to a floor, which is a requirement from Swedish insurance companies for insured storage.
This cabinet is supplied as standard with key lock but can at an additional cost be equipped with a battery powered high security keypad code lock before it is sent to you.
With a code lock instead of keys the codes are always where they are suppose to be, and will not be lost or hidden. See accessories below for the keypad code lock option.
Fire protection as well
In addition to the strong burglary protection, this particular safe model is also tested and rated to protect all materials with the same heat tolerance as paper in up to 120 minutes of full fire.
Accessories & finish
The safe's surface consists of an impact-resistant structural lacquer in white. On the front is a horizontal panel in dark blue colour which is a nice touch to the general design.
Improve security even more!
By changing code lock code a few times a year the risk of unauthorised getting hold of a functional way to get into the cabinet (code, or keys) is dramatically decreased. This would also mitigates unequal wear and tear of buttons that might hint about which digits are used in the code!
