Security cabinets with SS3492/SSF3492 rating

Security cabinets rated to SSF 3492

A security cabinet is tested and certified to the Swedish standard SSF 3492, previously SS 3492. The cabinet is attacked with a range of tools for a set length of time, long enough for an alarm to be raised and someone to reach the site.

What insurers require

Swedish insurance practice allows insured business storage of goods and valuables up to SEK 40,000 in a cabinet rated to SSF 3492, provided the cabinet is bolted down or weighs more than 150 kg. Under certain conditions, such as good perimeter protection or an alarm connected to a security company, the limit may be higher.

What applies to your own policy is stated in your policy documents. Ask your insurer before buying if your sum is close to a limit.

Key lock or keypad?

If more than one person needs access, a battery-powered electronic keypad is worth the money. It removes key handling, and the code can be changed when somebody leaves. Use the Lock Type filter to choose, or see Security cabinets with keypad, where the lock is included in the price.

On most cabinets a keypad can also be added at the time of ordering, under Accessories further down the product page. The cabinet is then delivered with the lock already fitted.

Finding the right size

The Outer Height (mm) and Outer Width (mm) filters help if the cabinet has to fit a particular spot. The range runs from 450 to 1,900 mm in height.
