Insurance and Grade I
Swedish insurance companies approve of storage of values reaching 80,000 SEK in all safes that has been rated as Grade 0, in accordance with EN1143-1. Since there might be different regulations and requirements in different countries (and sometimes different areas), do check what applies to your local circumstances and insurance company. It might even be more permitting!
Locking system & Security
The lock system is regulated by a readjustable key lock (or an optional battery powered keypad code lock at an additional cost). The lock bolts are protected against attempts att drilling with manganese drills. Should you choose the code lock, the cabinet puts itself into a lock-down state after several attempts at opening the safe with erroneous codes.
All bolts are entirely made of solid steel. The rear edge of the door is secured by an enclosing notch, which provides a truly effective break-in resistance. The cabinet is supplied as standard with key lock but can be supplied with a battery powered high security keypad code lock.
It is also prepared for bolt-down to a floor.
Fire & Theft Protection
Besides this value safe's very strong high security burglary protection, this safe is also built with fire protection for your documents and valuables for a whole 120 minutes, which is more than enough, and makes for a very strong fire protection for less heat sensitive materials (such as documents, banknotes, cash and the like). The cabinet can be equipped with a data media insert for fire protection of CDs, DVDs, external hard drives and memory cards.
Design and finish
Its surface consists of an impact-resistant structural lacquer, and on the front is a horizontal panel in dark blue color.
Note about the code lock!
By changing code and digits occasionally (e.g. 3-5 times a year) you will increase the level of security immensely. On the one hand by decreasing the risk of unauthorised getting hold of the right code, and on the other hand by avoiding potential unequal wear of the keypad buttons.
When it comes to keypad code locks, there is a risk that the keypad buttons gets worn so that some numbers will be unreadable.
Such unequal wear may also make it easy for unauthorised to figure out which numbers are included in the code, unless there is an even wear of the buttons.
Therefore, we recommend that everyone who purchases cabinets with electronic code locks change codes / numbers at least 3-5 times a year.
