Gun safe (SSF3492) (9 rifles) w/ fixed boxes, top+side shelves & code

There is plenty of room inside and its fitting is just right for most hunters consisting of a whole top shelf, and three side shelves, and five fixed boxes on the inside of the door.

Thanks to the fitting there is room for more than just weapons, but also all kinds of accessories for hunting and wildlife.
The cabinet even comes with a fire chest for paper and other heat sensitive material.

Great fitting

If you look inside you'll find several very useful fitting details. Thanks to a whole top shelf and three side-shelves you get four spaces on the left side of your weapons for all kinds of accessories or valuables besides those for hunting. Secondly there is five spacious fixed open boxes on the inside of the door for ammunition and other accessories.

Approved as a SSF3492 security cabinet

Safir16E-Black is rated as a SSF3492 (SS3492), which means it is approved for storage of firearms that add up to a total protection value of 20 points according to Swedish firearm regulations (1 rifle = 1 p, 1 handgun = 2 p, 1 automatic rifle = 4p).

Lock system

Safir16E-Black comes with an electronic code lock in the price. This lock governs coveted lock bolts which have several advantages:

- With lock bolts, the cabinet opens considerably quieter than cabinets with alternative systems. Great if you don't want to wake your family during early mornings. In addition the safe stays in open position until you close it, instead of locking itself when you release the handle (even if the door is open).
- The handle stays in its open position without falling back on itself when opened. Very practical, especially if you choose electronic code lock since you'd otherwise have to hit the code both when opening and closing the cabinet.
- The lock mechanism is very smooth which gives a high quality feeling to the safe.

Code lock or Key lock?!

At Arkivexperten we often recommend our customers to consider adding a code lock to their order.
However, this particular model already comes with a code lock.
Code locks are a wonderful improvement over key locks.
With a code lock there is no risk of loosing keys, no incentive to foolishly hide keys instead of carrying around keys which is essential to the security.
The cabinet is also available with key lock.

Improve security even more!

By changing code and digits occasionally on the code lock (e.g. 3-5 times a year), you can greatly decrease the risk of any unauthorised persons getting hold of a functional code to the safe, while at the same time diminishing unequal wear of buttons that could otherwise hint about which digits might make up the code.

Add a fire chest!

Thanks to the top shelf there is room for a practical fire chest.
With a Fire chest you can protect all your family most important valuables from being destroyed should there be a fire. Most fire chests are tested and approved to protect paper and equally heat tolerant materials for up to 30 minutes in a full fire.

There are also fire chests that can protect datamedia as well (see Fire chests in the A-Z menu). This is perfect if you want to protect your digital valuables (photos and so on).

Prepared for wall-mounting!

Since this cabinet weighs more than 150 kg, there is no formal need to anchor it to a floor or wall.
At Arkivexperten we always recommend to bolt down cabinets for several reasons.

Here are two reasons:
For one you increase security considerably if you bolt your cabinet to a floor or wall.

Secondly with high and narrow cabinets with heavy doors such as this cabinet there is a risk that the cabinet tips over when the door is opened. This is of course a hazard for both kids and animals.
