Regulations for Outdoor Gas Storage
According to the general advice for MSBFS 2020:1, the following should be observed for outdoor gas storage:
Non-public activities
1. Up to 60 liters, non-insulated cabinets can be placed against a non-fire-rated facade without a safety distance to openings in the facade.
2. Non-insulated cabinets with 61 to 250 liters can be placed against a facade that offers at least EI30 fire separation, requiring a safety distance
of one meter to openings in the facade*. For facades not meeting at least EI30, a 3-meter safety distance from the building applies.
3. Non-insulated cabinets with 251 to 1200 liters can be placed against a facade that offers at least EI60 fire separation, requiring a safety distance
to openings in the facade* of one meter. For facades not meeting at least EI60, a 3-meter safety distance from the building applies.
Public activities**
1. Up to 60 liters, non-insulated cabinets can be placed against a non-fire-rated facade with a one-meter safety distance to openings in the facade*.
2. 61 to 250 liters, same as Non-public activities above.
3. 251 to 1200 liters, same as Non-public activities above.
*openings in the facade include, for example, operable windows, doors, and ventilation openings.
** public activities refers to activities to which the general public has access.
Construction and function
- The cabinets can be equipped with accessories such as:
Ramp, tension straps for cylinder anchoring, and floor heating with connection via fixed installation or a 16A CEE plug
