Safe Storage and Charging of Lithium-Ion Batteries
Lithium-ion batteries pose a serious fire risk and can, if overheated, cause explosive fires that are very difficult to extinguish. Our fire-insulated battery cabinet BS2095-620 is designed to offer maximum safety for both storage and charging. The cabinet is fire tested against external fire to SP method 2369, which is the method for shop cabinets holding flammable liquids and aerosols. There is no test of the cabinet against a fire in the batteries.
Customizable Security with Flexible Lock Options
The cabinet comes standard with a secure key lock (2 keys included). To simplify key management and enhance security, we recommend upgrading to an electronic code lock. The code lock offers features such as dual command and hidden code function, providing smooth and secure access without keys.
Ventilation and Smart Accessories
To manage gases that may form during charging, the cabinet is equipped with a ventilation connection (100 mm). The cabinet can be fully customized to your needs with practical accessories:
- Electrical Installation: Power strip (6 outlets) with surge protection for safe in-cabinet charging.
- Perforated Shelves: Improves air circulation and supports an evenly distributed load of 50 kg per shelf.
- Alarm System: Sensors for alarms both inside and outside the cabinet, as well as a door alarm.
Generous Interior and Capacity
The cabinet is delivered with 5 adjustable shelves as standard, providing flexible storage options for batteries of various sizes. With a volume of approximately 1000 liters, there is ample space for your equipment.
