Accessories for cabinets, archives and shelving

Suspension files and hanging folder stands

Suspension files come in A4, A3 and folio size, in board or in PP plastic with a V-shaped bottom that holds more. They are supplied in packs of 25 or 50 and in several colours, so departments or case types can be kept apart. A free-standing hanging folder stand lets you use the files in an ordinary shelf or on the floor, without a filing cabinet. If the files are to hang in a cabinet you already have, you need a hanging folder frame that fits the model.

Archive boxes and cartons

The archive cartons are A4 size and come in different spine widths, so both thin and thick files fit. The brown cartons are sold in packs of ten and are made for long-term storage in archive shelving. The coloured archive boxes make it easier to find the right one on the shelf.

Label frames for marking and signage

Label frames go on the cabinet door, the drawer or the shelf front and show what is inside. The magnetic ones attach straight onto sheet metal and can be moved when the contents change. The adhesive ones stick to wood, painted metal and plastic. Both come in A4 and a smaller A6 size and in several colours, so you can colour-code departments.

Pull-out drawers

The pull-out drawers mount on a shelf and make the contents reachable without lifting out everything in front. They are used in safes, in gun cabinets and in the bookcase. The dimensions are given on each product, so measure the clear width and depth of the shelf before you choose.

Fire and damp protection for documents

A fire-protective bag in aluminium-coated glass fibre goes inside the cabinet or the fire box and gives paper and passports extra heat protection. The same bag works as a sleeve when the documents have to be transported. Waterproof plastic bags protect against damp and water, and a desiccant bag deals with the moisture shut inside the cabinet. Damp is what damages archives most often, long before fire.

Key tags, key rails and key hooks

Key tags in different colours let you tell keys apart without revealing what they open. The tags come by colour or in a mixed pack. A key hook rail is screwed to the wall or into a cabinet you already have, and is a simple way to add space in a key cabinet.

Concrete plinths for anchoring

A cabinet that cannot be anchored to the floor can stand on a concrete plinth instead, so that it cannot be carried off. That is common in rented premises and where the floor must not be drilled into. The plinths come in different weights and sizes and are used with security cabinets and gun cabinets. Swedish insurers set their own anchoring requirements, so always check the wording of your policy before you choose.

Locks and lock care

Lock oil lubricates and thaws locks that have become stiff, which is common on outdoor storerooms and gates. There is also an electronic lock cylinder here that can be connected to an access control system.

Lighting, shelf supports and more

An LED strip with a motion sensor lights up when you open the cabinet and is fixed with a magnet or tape, with no wiring needed. Sheet metal shelf supports fit onto the shelf so that binders and boxes do not slide sideways. There is also hanging tape for plan cabinets and a GPS tracker for keeping track of things that move.
